Greenacres is licensed for 40 tents, trailer-tents and smaller camper vans on a site of 4.5 acres.

That's a lot of space and no overcrowding. There is   p-l-e-n-t-y   o-f   r-o-o-m for the children to play safely. ALL our pitches are JUMBO-SIZE compared with most sites, so the largest tents are accommodated with ease.

We don't have a large shop full of expensive plastic toys, nor a licensed clubhouse with so-so cabaret performers. Sorry, but there's no pinball or pizza take-away either. For those "pleasures" you'll need to go elsewhere.
Instead we offer simple, clean and well looked-after facilities with all the basics covered for some wholesome family fun.

Our toilet block contains fully-tiled showers, toilets and wash-hand basins, plus sinks for washing and washing-up. An iron, ironing board and hairdryer are also available on request. We have fridges and freezers on the site for our guests to use, so no more sour milk. There is also a "library" of books and puzzles to choose from and you'll find a ful range of leaflets for all the local attractions in our information centre.

All are provided within our site fee - there is no extra charge for any of these facilities.

Bike hire is available at very reasonable rates. We recently added new kids bike trailers and tow-alongs. The local lanes offer excellent, flat and easy options for re-discovering your cycling legs.

Batteries can be recharged and both Calor and Camping Gaz exchanges are available. Numerous well-stocked supermarkets are just a few minutes away.

Climbing, caving and horse riding are all available locally, as are coarse and trout fishing. There are several excellent Golf courses nearby. Sea fishing charters are available on the Dorset coast in Weymouth and Lyme Regis - just over an hour away. The nearest beaches are at Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea, both reachable within the hour. For more information on local attractions, please see our "Places to Visit" section.
